The dashboard is your home page. It answers three questions: what did I get done today? where am I working right now? and what is next?

Depending on the time of day the app greets you with “Good morning”, “Good afternoon” or “Good evening”, followed by your name. Below that you see your progress for today: how many reviews of your daily goal you have already completed.

The top card is your way into studying. It looks across all folders and suggests exactly one sensible next action:

  • Continue with a folder – if you left a study session unfinished, the card takes you back to that exact view. The card is then headed You stopped here.
  • Choose a learning mode – when cards are ready for review. The card tells you how many cards there are, or that you can get to know your first cards at your own pace.
  • Create cards – when you have no material yet. In that case you first bring your material in and review the cards that result.
  • Done for now – when nothing is due. That is not an error, it is the goal. If you want to keep going anyway, choose Keep practising voluntarily or Choose yourself and open a folder.

While the study plan is loading you can already open your folders. If the study plan does not come through, the card offers Reload study plan — your folders stay reachable.

The Your workspaces card lists the folders you used most recently. Next to each folder it either says when you last studied in it or how many cards it contains. Two paths lead straight on:

  • Open – opens the folder overview.
  • Learning chat – jumps straight into the chat for that folder.

Add cards creates new cards. As long as you have no folder yet, the card tells you to start with your first cards.

The What is next card bundles everything that needs attention:

  • Tasks – labelled Today, Overdue, Without a date or with a concrete date. Tasks without a due date do not disappear; they stay visible.
  • Exam – if an exam date is stored in a folder, it appears here with a countdown.
  • Card previews – finished drafts from card creation. The hint takes you straight to reviewing and saving them.

The list is sorted by urgency and shows the next few entries. All tasks takes you to the full overview. If nothing is open, it simply says there is nothing to do. If the list fails to load, you can reload it.

The bottom card summarises what you got done: completed reviews, days with study time, notes created and tasks completed. Preparation counts here too — organising your material is part of learning.

View learning history takes you to the detailed evaluations. What you find there is described in Learning progress.

If a study companion is active, it sits next to your study step and speaks to you depending on the situation — whether you are just starting, can carry on, or are done for today. Clicking it opens two paths:

  • Show me the app – starts a short tour of the dashboard.
  • Choose companion – takes you to the settings for the study companion.

If your companion is asleep, a small hint to the settings appears in its place.

The sidebar on the left is your main navigation. At the top are Dashboard, Cards, Calendar and Learning, below that your folders, and at the very bottom your account menu.

Each folder in the list shows you at a glance:

  • how many cards and notes it holds,
  • when you last studied in it,
  • and a hint when cards are overdue or due today.

The plus button creates a new folder. Give it a name and optionally a short description — the description helps you find it again later.

Through a folder’s menu you can rename it, change its order or delete it. To delete, you have to type the folder name to confirm, so nothing disappears by accident; you can also decide whether linked calendar dates are deleted with it.

You can grab a card directly from the folder list and drag it into another folder. That is how you re-sort when you notice while studying that a card fits a different topic better.

  • Back and forward – like in a browser.
  • Sidebar – show and hide; on narrow screens it becomes an overlay.
  • Search – opens the command palette (Ctrl + K, on a Mac Cmd + K). From there you find folders, cards, notes, tasks, dates and pages and can run commands directly.
  • Breadcrumbs – show where you are and take you back.

At the very bottom of the sidebar your account menu opens with:

  • your current plan (adjust or manage),
  • Settings,
  • News – with a counter when something is unread,
  • Achievements,
  • Help,
  • Sign out.

What you can configure in detail is described in Settings.

Loading states are normal and usually last only a moment. If a card stays empty or shows an error, it usually offers Reload. If problems persist, check your internet connection — the app also points this out itself when you are offline. If it stays stuck, Support helps.
