Folders
Open in AI
Folders are the central structure in Flashcard Motion. Everything – cards, sources, notes and tools – belongs to a folder.
Create folders
Section titled “Create folders”Create one folder per topic, course or exam. The plus in the sidebar next to your folders opens Create a new folder, where you enter a Folder Name and an optional Description. A clear name makes searching easier later.
Sources in a folder
Section titled “Sources in a folder”Sources are the material your learning is based on, for example PDFs, notes or links. How to store and maintain them is described in Sources.
Search and find
Section titled “Search and find”Use search to find cards, notes and sources again. Use meaningful titles so results are unambiguous.
Folder overview
Section titled “Folder overview”The folder overview shows the whole folder at a glance: Flashcards, Notes and the Source library, plus your tasks and dates. At the top, Up next shows the currently recommended action – depending on where you stand it takes you straight into the fitting session, task or the study area. Every folder card in the sidebar also tells you how many flashcards and notes it holds and when something last changed.
Sorting and renaming
Section titled “Sorting and renaming”Use Rename in a folder card’s menu to change its name. Sort folders brings the list into your order: drag a folder to its place or use Move up and Move down, then save with Save order.
Clean up
Section titled “Clean up”Delete folders you no longer need via Delete in the folder card’s menu. To be safe you type the word DELETE; linked calendar events can be deleted along with it. Anything you want to keep, download first via the explorer.
