Learning progress

Open in AI

With spaced repetition, progress is not the same as “getting a lot done”. This page shows you where to find your numbers and what they mean — so you can tell whether your routine holds.

  • On the Dashboard – today’s progress at a glance, the What you have achieved card and your study streak.
  • Under Learning progress – the detailed view with daily goal, recall rate, development and activity.
  • On a folder’s card – a hint when cards are overdue or due today.

At the top you see how much you got done today:

  • If reviews from the schedule are involved, it says X of Y reviews with a progress bar.
  • Without a goal set, you see the number of your reviews.
  • Once your goal is reached, the app says explicitly that everything else today is voluntary.

You change your goal in Settings under Learning. There you set cards per day and time per day, plus the daily goals for reviews, new cards and backlog reduction.

This value shows the share of your reviews over the last seven days that you did not rate as Again.

Two things are worth knowing:

  • It is your self-assessment, not a test result. The number says something about your judgement when rating, not about your exam readiness.
  • If you rate too generously, the number looks better than your knowledge. If you rate very strictly, it looks worse.

As long as you rate honestly, this number is a good early indicator: if it drops over several days, the material is not stable yet.

The detailed evaluations show you four things:

  • Card maturity – how your cards are distributed across mature, young and learning. A growing share of mature cards is the clearest sign of real progress.
  • Reviews over recent days – with a comparison to the previous week. That shows whether you are currently doing more or less than usual.
  • AI generations – how much card material you had generated over the last 30 days. That shows your preparation, not your learning.
  • Notes and sources – how much material you prepared over the last 30 days.

Reviews show your study activity. Created cards, notes and sources show your preparation. Both count, but they are not the same.

The activity card shows the last 365 days. Each day is a small square; the more you did that day, the stronger it is. The filters let you see only the area you care about:

  • All – your entire activity.
  • Cards – study activity on cards.
  • Tutor – messages in the learning chat.
  • Notes – notes created and edited.
  • Sources – materials added or processed.
  • Tasks – tasks completed.
  • AI – generations.

Each day bundles whatever actually happened: reviews, new or classically studied cards, AI generations, notes, tutor messages, sources and completed tasks. For a filter without activity the app tells you so explicitly instead of showing an empty area.

The activity card is deliberately not a performance record: it shows that you showed up — including on days when you only sorted material.

On the dashboard you also see how many days in a row you have studied. The streak is a motivation figure: it counts days on which something happened and breaks when a day without activity lies in between.

After starting out there is nothing to evaluate. Instead of showing zeroes, the app tells you that no evaluation exists yet — that is normal.

If something does not load, you can usually try again. If an evaluation stays empty for good although you have been studying, Support helps.

  • Not a grade. The values describe your learning process, not your ability in an exam.
  • Not exam readiness. A high success rate means you answer cards confidently in a familiar context — not that you can retrieve them in an unfamiliar task.
  • Not comparative. There are no leaderboards and no comparisons with others. The numbers are for you alone.

Why does “Recalled successfully” show nothing? Because you have not rated any card in the review schedule over the last seven days. Once you do a few reviews, the value fills in.

Why does my daily goal not keep counting? Daily progress applies to the calendar day. A new day starts at zero again.

Does classic mode count towards the daily goal? Yes, your study activity is counted. Only Spaced Repetition changes the review schedule itself.

Where do I see how many cards I have in total? In a folder under Cards and on the dashboard in your workspaces.
